In a windowless room, seven individuals—Reborn, Albalest, Tornel, Bellaris, Clarissa, Luciereca, and their leader Dandon—gather around an octagonal table. Despite their highly volatile personalities and constant bickering, they share a fanatical devotion to an absent entity they call "Mama." Before starting their meeting, they perform a perfectly synchronized ritual of gratitude toward Mama's vacant seat of honor. Dandon, who is entrusted by Mama to lead the group, presents three major agenda items regarding escaped targets and political adversaries: First, they discuss the Royal Selection candidate Crusch Karsten, who has successfully evaded capture for two months alongside Natsuki Subaru and Ferris Argyle after being accused of assassinating Miklotov McMahon. Dandon believes they are being hidden by the "Six Tongues," a secretive opposition group whose captured members immediately commit suicide due to curse marks. Second, they address the Emilia Camp. Excepting Subaru, the camp's members managed to slip past the Sword Saint, Reinhard van Astrea, and vanished after aligning with the Sword Demon, Wilhelm van Astrea. Third, they discuss Margrave Roswaal L. Mathers, who is suspected of leading the Six Tongues. Roswaal ignored a royal summons and vanished along with his manor's residents. While Dandon asserts that they still control the country and will soon settle things with these rebels, he receives an urgent transmission via a Conversation Mirror. He learns that the detained Royal Selection candidates, Emilia and Felt, have just escaped custody with the assistance of Filore from the Divine Dragon Church. Stunned by this massive setback, Dandon decides to mobilize their "supporters" to recapture them and fulfill Mama's wishes.
