Seizing her chance, Melty touches Lycoris, activating 'Charmer.' Under her influence, Lycoris reveals that Reborn and Tornel came with her against Dandon's orders, and that their location was reported by the 'Executor.' Melty then tricks her into believing another 'Beloved Child' is lost in the castle, prompting Lycoris to order Tornel to lift 'Detour.' A blue light sweeps the castle and the barrier falls. As Subaru's consciousness slips, a tearful voice screams at him not to die and drags him back from the brink. In the corner of his vision, countless slashes tear open the ceiling, and a shadow drops into the basement -- without a sound.
