He notices a clean, sharp cut on the whip, revealing someone intentionally cut him down. Subaru falls endlessly into a pitch-black, groundless abyss. He repeatedly loses and regains consciousness from the physical toll of spinning, unable to die or escape. Suffering from extreme dehydration and cold, Subaru makes a resolute vow never to let go of Beatrice as he remains trapped in an eternal descent.
