This unleashes a hellfire that swallows Natsuki Subaru. Tiga defends his actions to Beatrice, claiming he had to eliminate Duchess Crusch Karsten because she killed Miklotov McMahon and rejected surrender. However, the flames are cleaved by Crusch, who used her Dragon Eye to find a "death point" and shield the unconscious Subaru. Realizing Crusch protected her contractor, Beatrice sides with her. Beatrice deactivates E·M·T, allowing Crusch to unleash an explosive wind that blows Tiga back, and they escape into the sewers. When Subaru wakes up in the sewers, Beatrice explains their escape. Meanwhile, at a mansion in the capital, Otto Suwen, Emilia, and Garfiel Tinsel are confronted by Kingdom soldiers. Marcos Gildark, the Captain of the Royal Guard, arrives to demand Emilia's presence at the royal castle. He reveals that Subaru is under urgent suspicion of having strong ties to the Witch Cult and acting as a Sin Archbishop.
